First Boat Ride, Second Dog Crush

We are lucky enough to have access to a boat whenever we want so we decided to take it out for the day with my brother. It was Afton's first boat ride and we were pretty excited to see how she would do.

So we donned our swim suits and lather up with sunscreen...

And bought Afton a pretty new life jacket...safety first.

And....she didn't like it. Not one bit. I'm sure she wouldn't have minded so much if the life jacket(the smallest we could find mind you) didn't consume her tiny little body. You know that seen in A Christmas Story where the little boy can't move because he has so many winter clothes on...yeah it was like that except think sun and life jackets instead of snow and jackets. Poor thing. But she was a trooper and tried to pretend she was having a little fun for the pictures.

And then she fell asleep. This child can fall asleep ANYWHERE.

But we had fun none the less. And that night we swapped our swimsuits for some dinner attire and went your friends Kelly and Alex's house for a little dinner and game night.

And Afton fell in love with their dog Maddy. She loved to sneak under the table and lick Afton's feet...and face...but mostly feet.

And Afton loved to smile coyly at her and play hard to get. Such a flirt! :-)
And just to be clear, Oliver is still her number one. He was a tad bit jealous when we came home that night and sniffed another dog on Afton but a few licks in the face reconciled that quickly.
